Dr. Weidner grew up locally, having been born at Cooper Hospital and raised in Pennsauken, attending high school there. He accomplished his pre-med studies at Franklin and Marshall College, in Lancaster, PA, graduating magna cum laude, majoring in biology. He attended Temple University School of Medicine, receiving election to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed residency training at the The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in summer 1995. He is board-certified and has been chosen more than once as a Top Doc by South Jersey Magazine.
Dr. Weidner has special interest in the care of adopted children and those with Down Syndrome.
He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a member of the American College of Pediatricians and a founding leader of the South Jersey chapter of the Christian Medical and Dental Association.
Dr. Weidner lives in Washington Township with his wife and their 3 children, the youngest of whom was adopted from Guatemala. His home church is Joy Community Fellowship in Pitman, and he loves playing guitar, singing, teaching, rooting for Philly sports teams, bird-watching, gardening, and being with his family. He has been repeatedly blessed on his mission trips to Guatemala.
